CHESTER, Penn. (May 20, 2023) – The New England Revolution (7-3-3; 24 pts.) fell on the road to the Philadelphia Union (6-4-3, 21 pts.), 3-0, at Subaru Park on Saturday night. The two sides played a scoreless first half before Dániel Gazdag tallied twice after the intermission to secure the Union win.

New England captain Carles Gil had his night cut short, exiting the match in the 35th minute with right leg injury. Four Revolution Homegrown Players featured in Saturday's contest. Noel Buck started for the 11th time this season, while Jack Panayotou, Esmir Bajraktarević, and Justin Rennicks all made substitute appearances. Panayotou entered for Gil in the first half to make his fifth career appearance.

Philadelphia found the scoresheet first with a strike in the 56th minute by Gazdag, who later doubled the advantage in the 74th minute from the penalty spot. Julián Carranza closed the scoring in the 88th minute to hand New England its third loss of the season.
