People are using Sainsbury’s 30p vegetable bags in their clothes wash to stop socks from going missing

EVER experience the struggle when socks get separated and go missing in the wash?

A savvy shopper has come up with a genius way of tackling the problem - using a 30p vegetable bag.

The man shared a photo of his socks placed inside the mesh bag, so they stay together and are easy to find after the wash.

Taking to the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, he said: "I'm not sure if it's been posted before but I saw these 'Veg' bags in Sainsburys for 20p (I think, were really cheap!) and they're made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

"Can be washed at 30 degrees and I thought they'd be great at keeping my socks together so I don't loose them while washing!

"Sick of only having odd ones when they come out."

Many people were highly impressed by the clever idea and said they wanted to try it out for themselves.

Others said they had actually paid 30p for the bags, but said they were already using them at home and loving the results.

One person wrote: "Great idea thanks for posting."

Another added: "Good for bras too as they don't get tangled up with other items."

And one commented: "What a great idea I need to get one of these as like every ones washer mine is a sock thief."
