Phoenixville rings in holidays with tree lighting ceremony

PHOENIXVILLE — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go around the borough.

Phoenixville officially welcomed the holiday season with a tree-lighting ceremony during the First Friday celebration.

Mayor Phoenixville Mayor Peter Urscheler was on hand to flip the switch and light up the town's colorful Christmas tree.

Caroling, dancing, children's activities and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus were part of the annual tradition.
